Mengidentifikasi Teks Drama


Drama is one of the literary genres that are full of human sides. In the drama, various human behaviors are displayed which are summarized in the dialogues of each character. Human behavior represented in the drama raises the conflicts that shape the drama's story. The elements in the drama are not much different from the elements in Short Story, Novel, or Roman. Dialogue is a formal feature of drama that distinguishes it from other forms of prose. In addition to the dialog, there are plots, characters, and settings. 1. Storyline or Event The flow is a series of events that are woven to move the storyline. Types of grooves, namely as follows. a. The forward flow, that is, the plot or storyline is arranged according to the time sequence (narrative and sequence of events (chronological). b. Backward flow, which is the plot or storyline that returns the story to the previous time or time. c. Mixed flow (flashback), which is a combination of forward grooves and backward grooves. The story moves from the middle, goes to the beginning, continues to the end of the story. The parts of the storyline are the following. a. Introduction phase. This stage shows a story by introducing the store, situation, setting, time and so on. b. Event stage. The stage of the emergence of an event as a story movement. c. Stage conflict arises. The stage of the emergence of a problem that raises conflict and tension between the characters. d. The conflict stage peaked. The stage of the problem or tension is at the top point (peak). e. Completion phase. The problem stage starts with a solution (exit) leading to the end of the story. 2. Figures and Characteristics Figures are fictional individuals who experience various events in the story. When viewed from the function of the characters who play a role in the story, characters can be distinguished into central figures, namely characters who have always been the center of the spotlight in the story; and subordinate figures, namely figures whose presence is needed to support the existence of the main character. The main character is often called the protagonist and the figure who fights it is often called an antagonist. Both are central figures in the spotlight. 3. Background The setting is the place, the atmosphere, the space, and the time the story takes place in the drama performance. The setting of the drama performances covers the background of the place, time and atmosphere (culture)
